This work redefines traditional jute usage and emphasizes sustainability in fashion.

Burgello Quilt

My quilting practice is rooted in handwork and material exploration. I create quilts using my own hand-dyed fabrics, allowing colour, texture, and process to guide each piece. Through intuitive piecing and stitching, my work reflects a slow, thoughtful approach to making—where fabric becomes a space for memory, experimentation, and storytelling.

This textile work is created using hand-felted fabrics dyed with natural dyes. Small fabric pieces are arranged together to explore colour, texture, and stitch. Hand sewing is used to join the pieces, with visible stitches becoming part of the design. The work reflects slow making, care, and an appreciation for natural materials and handmade processes.

Tapestry

This textile artwork is a handwoven tapestry made on a handloom using woollen yarns of varying thicknesses and textures. Multiple yarns are blended together during weaving to create rich colour transitions and surface depth. The work highlights material experimentation, rhythm, and the expressive possibilities of handloom weaving.
