Nikita Sutar is a textile educator and faculty member at ISDI – School of Design & Innovation. She teaches through hands-on making and material exploration, encouraging students to think critically while working with traditional and contemporary textile practices

Nikita Sutar is a textile artist who works with cloth as a medium for storytelling. Using techniques such as block printing, tie-and-dye, hand painting, weaving, and natural dyeing, her work explores memory, labour, and tradition. She often collaborates with artisans and craft communities, bringing together heritage and experimentation.

Nikita Sutar is a Mumbai-based textile designer working with traditional techniques and contemporary design. Her practice focuses on hand processes, surface development, and material exploration through block printing, natural dyeing, weaving, and resist methods. Rooted in slow making, her textiles reflect cultural memory and place.
